Standing Order No. 3 of 18 July 2000 "Port Regulations" issued by Director of Maritime Board in Gdynia (Dziennik Urzędowy Województwa Pomorskiego [Official Gazette of the Pomorski Region] No. 78 of 9 August 2000) provides that Pilot's service in the Gdynia Port shall be compulsory for vessels of a length of 90 meters and above, and, irrespective of their length, vessels carrying hazardous cargoes as specified in par. 16 of the Standing Order, non degassed vessels, vessels overloaded, vessels with exceeding trimming, vessels with a dangerous list and also vessels which for reasons of any damage sustained may cause environmental pollution.

PLACING ORDERS FOR PILOT SERVICE

Notification shall reach the Pilot Station two hours before the planned arrival, towing or departure at the latest to enable us a timely performance of the service.

Order for the Pilot Service must be placed through one of the above specified means of communication at least one hour before the vessel's ETA or ETD.

PILOT EMBARKATION AT THE ROADS

Vessels carrying hazardous cargoes or vessels with a draft exceeding 9 meters shall take a pilot at "GD" Buoy or at the appropriate anchorage. Vessels with a draft of less than 9 meters shall take a pilot at the fairway before Gate "G1 - G2" at the latest.

PILOT DISEMBARKATION AT THE ROADS

The pilot may disembark after passing Gate"G1 - G2".

Any earlier pilot disembarkation, due to the prevailing weather conditions, may be performed under acceptance by the Harbour Master and the Master of the vessel under pilotage.
